My grandfather died recently and I've been gifted a bit of money from the sale of his estate.

Living in different continents, I didn't know him very well.

What's the best way to use this generous gift?

Honouring my community and his memory, by donating a chunk to a cause he would have supported.

Honouring his lifelong dedication to helping his family, by putting some away as an emergency fund for myself or someone else in need in the future.

Honouring the things we had in common, by using some to improve and organize areas of my life where we shared interests - making, maintaining, crafting, artistry, literacy.

Honouring myself, by using a bit for a frivolous treat, because it's ok to have nice things sometimes.

I can do that. I think he would have liked that.

Gift

New comic! On receiving a final gift from my late grandfather. It's a little hard to figure out the best way to honour someone you didn't know that well, but I think I've got it.
